We need your help! Stroke & Turn / Starter Officials needed!
The league is asking each team to have 4 officials this season in order to effectively run meets & cover for vacations.
During registration, volunteer preferences were indicated, and at this time we currently only have 1 volunteer for this position. Our team is in desperate need of Stroke and Turn / Starter Officials for the season or we will not be able to host or attend meets.
Stroke & Turn Judges (Must be LBSL certified) – Stroke and turn judges will stand at the corners of the pool and will monitor the swimmer’s strokes- making sure that every swimmer is swimming legally. If a stroke violation occurs, these judges will raise their hand, and alert the referee of the infraction and fill out a DQ slip. After 4 years of Stroke and Turn you are eligible to be Starter Referee.
The Lower Bucks Swim League will provide training (short 1.5 – 2 hour session with videos)
June 8th at 7pm -Torresdale Swim Club
June 9th at 7pm – Bryn Athyn Swim Club
June 14th at 7pm – Somerton Swim Club
June 15th at 7pm – Richboro Swim Club
Summer swim is very laid back and this is a fun way for newer parents to learn and understand all the strokes. Please consider assisting the team in this capacity!
