WST is in need of Officials for this season!
During registration, if you indicated Official/Stroke and Turn Judge as a Volunteer position for this season, please read information below regarding requirements and plan on attending one of the several Stroke and Turn clinics the league has scheduled. If you have any questions about this position, please do not hesitate to contact any board member. Thank you, in advance, for considering this opportunity. We are required to provide officials and we can not run meets without them.
Please email Michelle at email@example.com after you have completed a 2019 training clinic.
Certification clinics that have been approved for this season:
All clinics will start promptly at 7PM.
Monday, 6/24 @ CORE Swimming @ Neshaminy High School, Room D113, 2001 Old Lincoln Highway, Langhorne, PA 19047
Wednesday 6/26 @ Brookside Swim Club 499 Stony Hill Road, Yardley PA 19067
Individuals certifying for the first time will be required to shadow with a certified official for 2 meets before they will be permitted to work a meet on their own. This requirement can be satisfied at any regular season meet or at any of the invitational meets held during the season. An individual who has served in the capacity of a Stroke & Turn Judge for 2 seasons will be eligible (but not required) to advance to the Starter/Referee position. In these instances the individual will be required to shadow in the new position for only 1 meet.
Already Certified? Please review here: Lower Bucks Swim League requires each person who desires to officiate LBSL swim meets to attend a certification clinic every year prior to the start of the season. The exception to this requirement would be USAS, YMCA or PIAA certified officials. These persons will be grandfathered in BUT a copy of their certification must be submitted to the Officials Chair. Click here for Mike Dunn email. Certification in any other competitive swim league (including SAL) will not be recognized for LBSL purposes.
